Our team has identified 10 key industries and occupations that drill down to the more specific products and services they offer that will drive the region’s competitive advantage and economic growth.

The Energy industry is driving a significant amount of projected growth in the region with Support activities for mining and oil and gas extraction and oil and gas extraction accounting for 5,657 high paying jobs in the region in 2025, while Pulp, paper and paperboard mills support another 682 high paying jobs in 2025. Support industries in Specialized freight trucking 1,979 jobs in 2025 and General freight trucking 850 jobs in 2025 are benefiting from and supporting this growth in Energy and Forestry.
